Terpenes are found in all things and when playing its part in cannabis along with cannabinoids, terpenes oils and chemicals make up the aromas and effects when consumed in cannabis. The higher the terpene count in cannabis, the better those effects kick in.
For example, a common terpene like myrcene is often found in more sedating cannabis strains while limonene gives you the opposite effects with a light citrus taste.
